List of Lake County Poor Farm Residents

*The Lake County Infirmary was in service from 1885 until 1942. The house still stands on Hawkins Road South of Highway U. S. 10 in Chase Township. This is a list from research of finding the names of those who died there in the years of operation (most of whom are buried down the road from the Poor Farm in the public section of the Chase Township Cemetery in unmarked graves.) This location now has a cross memorial in honor of their memory dedicated by Chase area citizens. In addition, some on list are names of those at the Poor Farm from census years 1900 through 1940.

These are additional names recorded in the public section (Potter's Field) of the Chase Township Cemetery in unmarked graves, It is possible these were poor farm residents, as this was the same section the residents were buried, but there is no indication or record I found to say so, only the names as written in the cemetery book.
