Mrs. Sylvia Law, River Grove, Dies



  Mrs. Sylvia J. Law, 61, 2820 N. Struckman St., River Grove, Ill., passed away Thursday evening in Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, Melrose Park, following an extended illness.

  She was born on Dec. 3, 1901 in Rock Falls, the daughter of John and Fanny Diamond Brown and was a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary in Sterling.

  She was married to Clifford E. Law in June of 1927.

  Surviving are one son, Bertram Law, Elmhurst; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn McIlnoy, Chicago; Mrs. John (Dorathy) Kyger, Rock Falls, and Mrs. Edith Poor, Coolidge, Ariz.; also two grandsons, Darrell and Dale Law of Elmhurst.

  One brother, Burt Brown, and her parents preceded her in death.

  Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Melvin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ridell Kelsey, pastor of Brookfield Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery.

  Friends may call at the Melvin Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
