Mrs. Lottie Law



  Mrs. Lottie Frances Law, 88, formerly of Thurmont, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Beverly Healthcare, Frederick, where she had been a resident since February.

 Born July 25, 1915, in Thurmont, she was a daughter of the late Emory Layton and Catherine Eleanor Shellenburger Moser.

 Mrs. Law worked as a seamstress at Claire Frock for more than 38 years until she retired in 1980.

 She was a member of the Thurmont Church of the Brethren and her union, ILGWU. She was a member of the Thurmont Senior Citizens and served as a volunteer when she won award pins.

 She enjoyed trips with other members of the Thurmont Senior Citizens Center, doing word puzzles, watching television and visiting friends and family.

 She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Favorite and husband Robert of Lewiston; one son, Donald J. Law and wife Barbara of Feagaville; two granddaughters, Brenda Favorite and Karen Linton, both of Frederick; one grandson, Kevin Law and wife Stacey of Walkersville; one great-grandson, Corey Linton of Frederick; three sisters, Ruth Anders, Margaret Toms and husband Paul, all of Thurmont, and Helen Wachter and husband Barb of Havre De Grace; and two sisters-in-law, Virginia and Frances Moser; and many nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by two sisters, Olive Moser and Marie Heim; and four brothers, Edward, Charles, Jerry and Lester Moser.

 Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., Thurmont, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.

 Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at the funeral home with the Revs. Linda Lambert and Janet Naill officiating.

 Interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.
