Tampico Woman Dies At Sterling Public Hospital Early Friday



  Mrs. Henrietta Law of Tampico passed away at the Sterling Public hospital at 3:30 a.m. Friday after an illness since April 6, 1949. The body was taken to the Melvin funeral home where serviced will be held Sunday at 2 p.m., Rev. Harry Shiffer officiating. Burial will be in East Jordan cemetery.

  Mrs. Law was born Nov. 8, 1876, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Delp. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Tampico, the Royal Neighbors and the Tampico WRC.

  She is survived by three sons, Clifford of Chicago, Tracy of Erie and John of Rock Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Hummell of Muscoda, Wis.; Mrs. Eldon Pursell of Milledgeville and Janet at home.

  She is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. E. T. Dennison of Hendricks, Minn.; Mrs. Esther Anderson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Alice Evans of Geneseo and Mrs. Edna Wilger of Olney, Ill.; two brothers, Arthur Delp of Cook, Wash., and Elmer Delp of Hillsdale. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as a large number of nieces and nephews.

Rites for Mrs. Etta Law Held Sunday

  Funeral rites for Mrs. Etta Law took place at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Melvin funeral home conducted by the Rev. Harry E. Shiffer of the Rock Falls Christian church. Mrs. J. H. Linn was at the organ and the Rev. Keith Hume sang "Just a Closer Walk" and "In the Garden."

  The burial was in East Jordan cemetery. Pallbearers were Roy Hockman, Gordan Garland, Barney Sollers, Mac Smith, Robert Rouch and Arlyn Pratt. The flowers were taken care of by Mrs. Harold Williams and Mrs. Forrest Alexander.
