Etzler-Doll and Munshaur Family Bible

Family Bible of

Dennis Etsler and Ann Elisabeth Doll
Dennis Etzler

After their deaths, son Hamilton Etzler took the house
in Libertytown and borrowed money to pay his siblings their share.

Perhaps that is when Hamilton came into possession of the family bible. Their family (Hamilton Etzler & Susanna Munshaur) was then recorded, along with a letter from Anna Elizabeth Etzler Buckey’s Uncle Emanuel, which provided data on the Munshaur family. These bible pages are typed up, then followed by scanned copies. Buddie Etzler found them, along with some photos, in a family bible that he obtained from a sale somewhere in Virginia. He turned over the pages and photos to Bernice Etzler Davis when he learned she was researching the family.

It appears Hamilton came upon hard times and wasn’t able to repay
his mortgage; the house went into foreclosure in 1897.
