Hello, welcome to the Somerset County, MEGenWeb Project site. My name is Abby Balderama and I am the coordinator of the Somerset County, MEGenWeb Project site. I do not live in Somerset County and do not have access to the records. I am doing my best, however, to coordinate as much help as possible to persons researching Somerset County through this website. This site is for your use to share information on Somerset County genealogy and history and I hope you will participate. Somerset County is in great need of volunteers of all types; if you have a bit of information you think may help others with their research or you would like to take on a small project and submit it, please feel free to do so. Many of the Somerset County town pages are still "up for adoption". Please feel free to volunteer to adopt one of the pages if you are willing and able to do so. If you have information you would like to see posted to a town page that has been adopted, please contact the coordinator of the town page or me. Look-up volunteers and volunteers to submit information are always welcome and appreciated. If you would like to volunteer for anything that would help out the Somerset County, MEGenWeb Project, please contact the Coordinator, thanks! If you would like to contact someone researching the same family you are, visit the Somerset County Contacts page. See also the Somerset County page for "Newbies" for tips on researching your family's history. Data can also be shared with the MEGenWeb Project Archives. Somerset County files are located at: USGenWeb Archives - Somerset County. Before submitting data to the Archives, please read the rules first. You can e-mail your Somerset County, Maine data to the MEGenWeb Coordinator, Tina Vickery, or to the Somerset County Coordinator. Please let us know where you would like the information posted. You may read more about volunteering for the USGenWeb Project by clicking here. Then, if you are interested in volunteering for a town site, contact me, the Somerset County Coordinator |
