McLeansboro: Roberta E. (Abbott) Haney, 75, of McLeansboro died Saturday morning, June 21, 2008, at her home.
She was born May 13, 1933, in Andover, Maine, the daughter of Stephen and Dorothy (Buck) Abbott. She married Charles D. Haney on Sept. 7, 1963, and he survives.
Also surviving are five children, Norma Gwaltney and husband, Frank, of West Frankfort, Marcia Cox of North Carolina, Paul Cox and wife, Lisa, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Kay Haney of Benton, Ky., and Edward Haney and wife, Pam, of Green Valley; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild, due soon.
Mrs. Haney was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul Cox; one brother, Phillip Abbott; and one sister, Mary French.
