Misc. Notes
Per John Fellow’s Genealogy #2: “Thomas Webster’s widow Margery came to America 1638/39 with her second husband William Godfrey, her small son, Thomas Webster, and Mr. Godfrey’s son by a prior marriage named John Godfrey.

This family came first to Watertown (MA); thence to Dedham, MA before settling in Hampton, NH. Records show Mr. Godfrey purchased land in Hampton in 1648/49, and in 1654 he was chosen a selectman of the town. In 1660 he was made a deacon of the church--an office he held until his death on Mar. 25, 1671.

Widow Margery married again Sept. 14, 1671 John Marrian. She was his second wife. She d. 2 May 1686/87 at about 78 years of age. Other records indicate she d. Hampton ‘between 80 and 90 years.’

Young Thomas Webster grew up with these half brothers and sisters in the new land:
John b. 1632 in England m. Mary Cox
Isaac (1639-1717) b. Watertown m. Hannah Marion
Sarah (1642-1694) b. Watertown m. John Clifford
Deborah (1645-1699) b. Watertown m. John Taylor

Check: Per Bob Webster: “Yesterday I met with a new acquaintance and very, very distant (8 generations ago) relative Karl Webster of Brooksville, ME. He gave me a 675 page genealogy on all Webster branches descended from John Webster. He is convinced that we’re part of that line rather than from Thomas of Ormesby St. Margaret, which would mean that Bill Fellows was off the trail with his starting point.” Are they not the same line?
