ANDOVER - Irving W. Akers, 75, died unexpectedly Tuesday [January 20, 1959] at his Pine Street home.
Born here March 26, 1883, he was the son of Winthrop and Clara Abbott Akers. He was married to the late Olive Fields.
Surviving are two half brothers, Ralph Akers of Rumford; Merle Akers of this town; two half sisters, Mrs. Florence Burgess of Rumford Center; Mrs. Mary Hall of Rumford Point; a son, Raymond Akers of this town; two step-sons, Everett and Frank Dresser, both of this town; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert MacLeod of Bucksport; and three grandchildren.
