The death of Mabel H. Merrill, age 83, a lifelong resident of Andover, occurred at Stephens Memorial Hospital, Norway on Saturday, August 17 [1974]. She had been a patient for one day.
Mrs. Merrill was born in Frye on June 12, 1891 the daughter of William and Inez Green Holman. She was married to Harry W. Merrill in Andover on May 12, 1914. Mr. Merrill died in 1967.
She was a member of Lone Mountain Grange of Andover.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Daigle of Cato, N.Y.; three sons, Erlon W. Merrill, Fremont, N.H., Elwin L. Merrill, Rochester, N.H., and Eugene L. Merrill of South Andover; two sisters, Mrs. Arabelle Farrar, West Paris, and Mrs. Isabel Johnson of Redstone, N.H.; twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

ANDOVER - Harry W. Merrill, 80, died at the Rumford Community Hospital where he had been a patient for six days.
He was born June 17, 1887 at Andover, the son of Joel and Nora Marston Merrill. Mr. Merrill was a lifelong resident of Andover. Retiring ten years ago, he was a farmer and lumberman. He was a member of the Lone Mountain Grange. On May 5, 1914 he married Mabel Holman.
Surviving besides his widow are a daughter, Mrs. Joseph A. Daigle, Cicero, N.Y.; three sons, Erlon W., Freemont, N.H., Elwin L., Rochester, N.H., Eugene L., Andover; a brother, Erlon L., Weston, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; six great grand children.
