RUMFORD - David H. Marston, 70, died Friday [September 9, 1994] at the Rumford Community Hospital.
He was born in Andover Oct. 15, 1923, son of Stephen and Ida (Cutting) Marston. He had been a lifelong resident of the Rumford area.
He was a graduate of Andover High School and during World War II served as an Army Pfc., 121st Army Air Corps Base Unit from February of 1943 to Aug. of 1945.
He had worked as a woodsman all his life for many of the local logging companies.
He was married in Andover in 1947, to Lorraine West of Andover, who survives him; a son, Stephen Marston of Rumford Center; four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Brenda) Coolidge of Strong, Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Herrick of Oxford, Mrs. Michael (Janet) Doughnut and Linda of Lewiston; one sister, Mrs. Rowena Brouchu of Rochester, N.H.; six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson, Randy Cochran.
