Both Sarah and her son William drowned while attempting to cross the ice from Orr's Island to the neck near the late Shuball Merrimans's shore; both were buried on Merriman's land, Harpswell Maine. “The neck", would be Harpswell, and Shuball Merreman was a resident of Harpswell, Maine.
