[James M. Canwell] died yesterday afternoon at a Biddeford hospital. He was born Oct. 23, 1874. Buckfield, the son of James M. and Ziprah Fuller Canwell. and before his retirement several years ago Canwell was a General Motors executive. Prior to that, he was for a number of years overseer of carding in textile mills of Lewiston andj Biddeford. Survivors include his widow, Susie French Canwell, this town, two daughters, Mrs. Edna Lee, Lorida, Fla. and Mrs. Marion Trough. Goose Rocks Beach; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
