Moved to East Gloucester [New Gloucester], Maine, before 1774 and was elected selectman.
Revolutionary War service.
“The town and county records of his Maine residence having been
destroyed by fire, it has been very difficult to procure the
data concerning his descendants, in the male line, except
those of his son Nicholas, whose descendants have family
records of their lines.
" Simon Noyes of Newbury sold to Joshua Noyes of
Newbury, May 7, 1759, for ^46, 13 shillings, and 4 pence,
the one full half part of upland & marsh 20 acres, bounded
southwesterly by East Creek, Northwesterly by the creek, to
a bank of rocks, southeast to the Rocks, being the 20 acres
that was sold to me by Moses Noyes Jr by Isaac & Mary [not part of text].”
