CENSUS: 1707, Minas, Acadia. Pierre MELANSON, his wife, 1 girl over 12 years, 6 girls unde r 12 [one of these would be Cécile]. There are 5 arpents under cultivation, 4 horned cattle , 6 sheep, 6 pigs.

BIRTH-MARRIAGE-CHILDREN-RESIDENCES: Arsenault, Histoire et Genealogie, p. 1263 (Grand Pré) . Pierre MELANSON, born 1670, son of Pierre & Marie-Marguerite MIUS d'ENTREMONT, married arou nd 1693 to Marie BLANCHARD; six children [neither Cecile nor Elisabeth is listed]. He lived a t Saint Charles des Mines. He was at L'Anse-a-Pinet, Isle Saint Jean in 1752, at the home o f Jacques NAQUIN, widower of Jeanne MELANSON, Pierre's daughter.
MARRIAGE: D'Entremont "New Findings", FCAGR (Winter 1969), p. 240, married circa 1695.
