Two generations back, Yet Mercy Andrews m. Benjamin Elliott. Is Sarah related to this family?

Is she related to the Abigail Eliott who married Benjamin Padelford in Taunton?

Misc. Notes
Henry Andrews of Taunton. Josiah Drummond. 1897.
Ebenezer 4. witnessed a deed in 1720, and the will of Ebenezer Williams, Sept. 8, 1727. He conveyed land in Hanover to his son Ebenezer, 3 Apr 1773, by deed witnessed by David Andrews, another son; perhaps Jedediah Andrews who served in Continental Army was also his son. He died in 1785. Ebenezer, Jr., married Sarah Elliott, 26 June 1770, and lived in Hanover.

It seems unrealistic that Ebenezer Jr. was born 1750+/- to Ebenezer Sr. b. abt 1699 and m. 1718. But New England Historical and Genealogical Register, vol. 51 (1897) lists them as father-son:

Marriage record (transcribed) states Ebenezer Andrews Ju. and Sarah Elliot were joined in marriage in Taunton by James Williams, J.P. 1770 June 26.

This family listed in a court record (Plymouth Court Records, 1686-1859 v. 3, pg 275) from NEHGS:

“Warrants to Warn Persons from Hanover
“…Constable Israel Perry received warrant from selectmen Nathaniel Sylvester, Lemuel Curtis, and Joseph Cushing to warn Samuel Clay, “who came last from Boston in September last,” Samuel Bates, his wife Mercy and their children Mercy, Lemuel, and Eunice, “who came last from Pembroke in April last,” Ebenezer Andrews, his wife Faith and Ebenezer Andrews, Jr., and his wife Sarah and their children Darius, Joshua, and Seth, “who came last from the town of Taunton....April last,” Sarah Waterman and her children James and Calvin, “who came last from Scituate or Halifax...about August last,” Calvin Curtis and his apprentice Benjamin Collamer, “who came last from Scituate in August last or much about the time and reside in the house that was Gideon Stetson’s,” Nehemiah Palmer, his wife Abigail and their chidlren Marlborough and Elijah, “who came last from Scituate in January last and Rside in the house which belongs to Lemuel Curtis,” John Chapman, his wife Ruth and their children Ruth, John, and Sarah, “who came last from Pembroke in March last,” to depart. Perry reported he warned all of the above persons to depart, “except Jacob Gurney and Elizabeth his wife who I did not see nor warn out,” 1 July 1773.

Could Ebenezer Jr’s son be my Darius Andrews? This would make him a nephew to David Andrews who married Naomi Briggs. He’d be pretty young, though; esp. if this is the same Darius who married Keziah Caswell in 1793.

As this is the first record listing a Darius Andrews as a son. I am going to link Darius and Ebenezer, Jr., at least as a placeholder.

Is he instead the son of Ebenezer Andrews (1726-1808) and Elizabeth Shaw (1726-1769)? In the Genealogy of the Andrews of Taunton and Stoughton, Mass., p., 28, the son of Ebenezer and Elizabeth is “Ebenezer, b. June 4, 1752; single.” Yes—I saw another record that said this Ebenezer Jr. was unmarried.

Or this Ebenezer *might* be the son of Josiah Andrews (b. 1705) and Hannah Richmond.

Bristol Co., MA Deeds - Taunton Registry
1748, July 2 — Ebenezer Andrews to Jonathan Padelford 36 85 Taunton

1749, May 16 — Ebenezer Andrews, et al. to Benjamin Eliot 35 424 Taunton
Ebenezer Andrews, Nathaniel Andrews, and Grace Andrews Clark - widow [all siblings], sell to Benjamin Eliot for the sum of L10 pounds their shares of their late brother, Henry Andrews (d. 1735) estate.

1781, July 25 — Ebenezer 2nd to Jonathan Caswell 60 295
Ebenezer Andrews to Jonathan Caswell: 27 acres of land in Taunton by Lilly Pond and land around Pond Brook for the sum of L2400 pounds lawful money. Witnessed by David Andrews and Jedediah Caswell, and witnessed by Ebenezer 2nd’s wife Sarah (Eliott).

This last one is very tantalizing: Jonathan Caswell is Darius Andrews’s father-in-law; Jedediah is Jonathan’s brother.

Birth record for the Ebenezer Andrews b. 4 Jun 1752 is for the son of Ebenezer Andrews and Elizabeth Pool (or Shaw?); born in Dighton, MA. Not sure how this Dighton Ebenezer might be related to mine of Taunton.

The land comprising Dighton was set off from Taunton in 1712. The Taunton fire of 1838 destroyed the original town records.
