Lyman A. Abbott, a life-long resident of North Andover, died at the Rumford Community Hospital Saturday noon [January 1, 1938] following a few days illness of pneumonia. Mr. Abbott was the son of the late Simon Andrew and Helen Thomas Abbott. For several years he lived alone, a nephew, Irving Akers, carrying on his farm.
He was a member of the Lone Mountain Grange and the Congregational Church, Andover.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Akers, Portsmouth, N. H.; Mrs. Lodie Hamilton, Lewiston; and Mrs. Ernest Newhouse, Wellesley Hills, Mass.
