Mrs. Frank Learned recently received news of the death of her father, Emerson Thurlow, who died at South Poland with a shock, at the age of 86.  He is survived by two daughters, one step daughter and two sons: Mrs. Frank Learned of Andover, Mrs. Gertrude Young of Peru, Mrs. Sam Young of South Poland, Leander Thurlow of Roxbury and Clarence Thurlow of South Windham.  He was twice married, his first wife being Mary Lamb of Oxford and his second wife was Emaline Bowen of Starks, Maine.  He leaves 29 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
