  Mrs Myrtie Brooks Learned, 68, wife of Peter Webster Learned died Tuesday [June 24, 1952] at the Rumford Community hospital where she had been a patient for several days.
  She was born in Grafton, March 2, 1884, the daughter of Albert and Viola Bennett Brooks.
  She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, of the Past Chiefs club of that group, Osgood Eaton Relief Corps, Christian Valley Literary club, Rumford Grange and Oxford County Pomona.
  Besides her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Elmer Brooks of Laconia, N H, and Glenn Brooks, Portland; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Morton, Newry; two sons, Howard of Rumford and Webster, Laconia, N H; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
