Revolutionary War service: Nehemiah's name appears on a roster of soldiers from the Hingham area, engaged in defence against the English. He had the rank of Corporal. The list is dated August 1777. He died in combat a few months later, at Saratoga, New York (defeat of General Burgoyne).
