ALBERT H. DAMON, 69, of Springfield, Mass., died yesterday morning in
Crouse-Irving Hospital after a short illness. A native of Penn Yan, where he was born Oct. 30, 1878, he was graduated from Syracuse University in 1902. He was a member of Psi Upsilon and Phi Beta Kappa fraternities. He attended the commencement exercises held Monday at the university.

For a period of 25 years he was assistant manager in the advertising department of the New York Times and for five years was adavertising manager of the New York Herald Tribune. Five years ago the family moved to Springfield, Mass., where he was in the advertising business.

He was the son of Hattie Salisbury Damon and the Rev. Albert N. Damon, deceased, a former Methodist misister in Centeral New York. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Grace Telfer Damon; one daugther, Mrs. George E. King of Arlington, VA, and one son, Albert H. Damon, Jr. of Milford, Conn., and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:30P.M. Tuesday in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira (Chemung Co).
