Joseph Cole bought land in Bridgewater, MA for 450 pounds, old tenor, of John and Susannah Snell, Apr 22, 1747. May, 1757, Joseph and Mary Cole deeded land to Edward Stephens of Plymouth. Witness James Cole and Mary Brewster. Joseph Cole deeds lands to his son Ephraim of Easton, MA in 1755, and to his son Joseph, Aug 31, 1753. Samuel Cole witness. Also the same year to his son Samuel.

Joseph Cole served as a Private in King George's War in the 4th Company, Captain George Morey, Colonel James Dwight's Regt., in the expedition against Louisburg 1745. His name is signed to the following: "We the undersigned select Captain Thomas Perkins to receive our part of the plunder that is coming to us by virtue of our being soldiers at Cape Breton". He also served in the French and Indian Wars. He served in the Revolution as Lieutenant and Captain in Captain Daniel Lathrop's 7th Company, Colonel Thomas Craft's Regt. Artillery; commissioned May 9, 1776, served to Aug 1, 1776; Aug 1 to Nov 1, 1776; Nov 1, 1776 to Feb 1, 1777, and from Feb 1, 1777 to May 7, 1777.

No record of his death.

Notes for Joseph Cole:
Morey, Col. James Dwight's Reg., in the expedition against Louisburg in 1745. He also served in the French and Indian Wars. He served in the Revolutionary War as a Lieutenant and a Captain in Capt. Daniel Lathrop's 7th Company. Artillery, commissioned May 9th, 1776, and served to May 7th, 1777.
