Misc. Notes
Your line is from the brother of my John Poor, both sons of Daniel (b. 1599 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. I have no knowledge of his wife). I have it that Daniel Jr. was born in Wiltshire, England in 1624 and died in Andover, Essex County MA on June 8, 1689. He emigrated to the US in 1638
(eight years after his older brother John, on the Bevis with his sister Alice (b. 1618) and brother Samuel (b. 1620). He married Mary Farnham, about whom I have little information other than she was baptized on July 13, 1628 at St. Nicholas Church, Rochester, Kent, England. I have Mary and Daniel married on October 20th, 1650 in Boston, Suffolk County, MA. I have no children listed
for them since they are not my direct line. I am descended from John Poore's son Henry.
I would be very interested in finding out about Daniel 's (and John's) father and mother. If you come across anything, please let me know. There are ship passenger lists available online. Check out the “Bevis” and look at the site for Newbury, MA.

Samuel Poore, 18, Danyell (Daniel) Poore, 14, and Alice Poore, 20, listed as “servants” of Stephen Dummer, husbandman of Bishopstoke, county Hampshire in the “Ships and Passengers” section of “The Bevis,” leaving Southampton England for Newbury, MA, May 1638.
From the Newbury, MA web site:
Meanwhile Sir Richard Saltonstall, Henry Sewall, Richard and Stephen Dummer, with others from Wiltshire, England had organized a company for the purpose of stock-raising at a time when the prices for cattle, horses, and sheep were at their highest. They added to their own domestic herds some imported Flemish stock, and persuaded John Spencer, Henry Short, Richard Kent, Thomas Parker, and others to join them in the enterprise, and establish a settlement on the river Quascacunquen, now Parker River.
