Ancestry.com indicates that Arvilla (and Addison?) moved from Sumner to Paris late in life. She had been a resident of Paris for 2 years before her death. Her birth date is listed as 7 Oct 1830. Parents are listed as “Persis [Peres] Andrews” and “Abigail Cain [Keen].” Cause of death: bronchitis of 3 weeks duration (Influenza of 1918?).

Cause of death listed as “Le Grippe” of four days duration. The Grippe was another term for influenza; Influenza epidemic of 1918.
Note: Addison Bowker m. Arvilla K Andrews, daughter of Perez/Peres b. 1797 is the nephew of Alonzo Bowker m. Phebe Andrews, daughter of Perez Andrews b. 1769.

Found marriage record for George Canwell and Arvilla Andrews in Franklin Plantation records at Maine State Archives. Is she the same Arvilla K. Andrews, daughter of Peres Andrews and Abigail Keene, who married Addison Bowker? Apparently yes. They are first cousins.

Mustered 21 Sept 1861, Pvt. Co F., 9th ME Vol. Reenlisted aged 29 in 1862; discharged 16 Jan 1863. Reenlisted in 1863. Taken prisoner 11 Jul 1863.
Enlisted in Company A, Maine 29th Infantry Regiment on 16 Sep 1864. Mustered out on 19 Oct 1864 at Cedar Creek, VA. Died at Libby Prison, 15 Feb 1865.
