Came to Woodstock when he was 15. In 1856 he sold his farm and moved to Bryant’s Pond. He was a good farmer and very successful in sheep husbandry. At one time he was keeping six hundred sheep and wintered them. Near the close of his life, he went to live with his son Kilborn and died there.
