Elbridge Poor married first Susan B. Stevens, and second, Huldah E. He lived for a time in Island Pond, VT, working on the railroad; perhaps this is why some documents list his son Henry Laurens Poor's birthplace as Island Pond, which is what threw me off track during my early Poor searches. Elbridge was supposedly born in the Poor house in Andover known as the Homestead, now owned by Steve and Becky Hudspeth.
