Merrill Photographs

Ezekiel Merrill was the first settler in Andover, Maine. See Bob Spidell's Andover, Maine web site for more on his family's history. Ezekiel Merrill is my fifth-great grandfather through his daughter Mary, who married Dr. Sylvanus Poor.

Ezekiel Merrill built the house that we know today as the Poor-Merrill house. Click here for a page of pictures of this amazing house, now owned by the Chandlers, still standing in Andover, Maine.

Also check out the photograph of the tombstone of Mollyockett, the Native American instrumental in helping the white settlers in Andover.
