NEW SHARON BIRTHS
The Microfilm that contains the early births for New Sharon is legible, but the clerk of the time ran all the information together, so reading the film is difficult. And he didn't feel it was important to include parents' names, in many cases. So having the film information isn't as helpful to researchers as the information contained on other towns' records.
When possible, I have added the names of parents from the 1850 Census by comparing ages of the children. But in many cases, the people who were early residents of New Sharon were no longer in that town. And we know that census data isn't always accurate.
This is only a rough draft. I haven't had an opportunity to review the films to compare it with what is here to check for typographical errors, or to see if there might possibly something that was missed.
