VIENNA, KENNEBEC COUNTY, MAINE: Landowners at time of incorporation in 1802

  VIENNA,
KENNEBEC COUNTY, MAINE  LANDOWNERS AT TIME OF INCORPORATION
IN 1802

The following information is taken from a copy of the original plan
attest Jedidiah Prescott, surveyor,
Jan. 6, 1802, Archives maps & plans, Bk. 25 p.13, No.991.
Copy of blue print by Clyde C. Waugh May 18, 1953.
I have compared the 1802 map with the Delorme's Maine Atlas & Gazetteer
to ascertain approximate location of these lots.
This information is for your enjoyment, and to use as a "clue" to your ancestors whereabouts.
Please do a thorough and accurate search at the
Kennebec County Registry of Deeds in Augusta
to obtain more precise information.

These names are listed alphabetically for your convenience.
I have added names of neighbors on each lot profile since, as we know, families "moved on" together, and this sometimes provides a piece of the puzzle.
Only last names appear on the 1802 map, but I have added first names on some.
If first names appear beneath the last name, it is because these men were listed as early settlers, but I have not ascertained lot ownership as yet. If you have searched any of these deeds, and have documentation of ownership feel free to email me  [email protected] with the information. I welcome comments and suggestions as well!
