This link will take you off site to the Lecale Historical Society 1901 Census transcription of the Barony of Lecale which adjoins the north east edge of Kilkeel PLU.

http://www.leitrim-roscommon.com/1901census/census.shtml

As well as the 1901 Census for Roscommon Leitrim, the whole of Drumgooland parish, half of the townlands in Loughinisland parish, four townlands in Kilmeagan and one townland in Magherahamlet Co. Down are also currently available on this site (as at 18/03/08).

In transcribing this census data Sheila Phillips and I have tried to be as exact as possible, however you are recommended to check the actual census itself as we cannot be

held responsible for transcription errors. Where we have had difficulty with words I have inserted a '?' or a series of '?'. An asterisk or an envelope symbol in the F.D column

means that there are further details available on the person concerned. Information presented in [ ] (square brackets) has been transcribed and passed to me by other

researchers who have either had access to better quality microfilm or have been able to provide details from other sources. Where possible I will endeavour to give contact

details for providers of such information.

If anyone else is able to assist with transcription of the 1901 Census for any of the townlands in these parishes do please get in contact. Also if anyone is aware of any other

Co. Down 1901 Census links I would be pleased to add them here.
