Grafton, Oxford Co., Maine bounds: Unton, Andover North Surplus, Andover West Surplus, Newry, Riley and the New Hampshire State Line. Previous designations: A Number 2 & Holmes. It was settled in 1830 and organized in 1840. Part set off to Newry on 29 Mar 1837. Boundary between Andover West Surplus established 22 Feb 1842. It was incorporated on 19 Mar 1852 as the 387th town, but repealed on 27 Feb 1919.
