Flagstaff Planation, (Township 4R4 BKP WKR), Somerset Co., Maine bounds: King and Bartlett, 3R4 BKP WKR, 4R3 BKP WKR, Eustis and Jim Pond.
Flagstaff is named from the fact that Benedict Arnold encamped there for several weeks with his forces and erected the national standard. This plantation was overflowed by the creation of the Central Maine Power Co., Dam.
