Thirty miles north of Farmington, Franklin Co., Maine, Carrabassett Valley was incorpoated on 26 Oct 1971. Originally was the unorganized townships of Sugarloaf (Crockertown, formerly Number 4, R2) and Jerusalem (Number 3, R2, BKP)
In 1855 Jerusalem was organized into a plantation.
Jerusalem, Franklin Co., Maine was a wild land township bounded by Dead River, Highland, Kingfield, Crockertown. Previous designation of Jerusalem was: 3R2 BKP WKR & Treadwell.
