MARSH FAMILY GRAVEYARD
Mt. Vernon, Hungary Neck District #5

This tiny plot was found and recorded by Jim Crouch in August, 2002. The graves, whose stones are quite worn and difficult to read, are located on the Jones property at 26599 Mt. Vernon Road in Mt. Vernon. Thank you for sharing this information, Jim!

John W. MARSH    (may be John Walter Marsh)
Born December 8, 1829
Died June 25, 1855
Aged 25 yrs, 6 mos., 17 days

Charles D. MARSH
Died September 27, 1865
Aged 61 yrs.

Mike Hitch has added some additional information about this family and graveyard:

John W. Marsh is likely John Walter Marsh. Mike found a Walter Marsh listed as a (probable) son in the household of Charles D. Marsh in 1850. He was no longer there in 1860, which would fit with the tombstone data above. It is likely that other, unmarked graves are also at this location, notably Charity Parks Marsh, wife of Charles D. Marsh.

Mr. Hitch also provided this additional information, along with a caution that, since this is not a direct line of his, the information is not guaranteed for accuracy -
