This Indenture made this thirteenth day of March the thirteenth year of ye Dominion of the Rt honerble Charles Absolute Lord & Proper of the Province of Maryland & Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore and over thee Province of Maryland Anno Dom 1687 Between William Jones of wiccocomoco in the County of Somerset Ye Province of Maryland Junr on the one part and Adam Hitch of the aforesaid County and Province on the other part Wittnefseth that the aforesaid William Jones for a valuable consideration to him in hand paid by the within named Adam Hitch doe by these presents acquitt and dischardge the within named Adam Hitch his heirs and afsignes forever : and by these presents have given granted bargained aliened sold enforfed & confirmed and by these presents for himself his heirs executors adm and asfigns doe freely absolutely give grants bargains aliens enforfs & confirms unto him the said Adam Hitch his heirs & asfigns forever three hundred acres of land now called "Beaver Dams" scituate lieing & being at the head of wiccocomoco upon the southeast branch it being the one halfs of six hundred acres of land called "New Holland" as by pattented doth appeare together with all its rights priviledgis proffitts & bennifitts thereunto belonging To have and to hold the said parcell of land called "Beaver Dams" & all singular the promisfes hereby mentioned to be bargained & sold & every of them with theire and every of theire appurtaners unto him the said Adam Hitch his heirs and asfigns forever without any mortgage redempeon use or limitaeon to recall of determine the same the rents and services due to ye Lord & Lords of the fee allevairs excepted and the said William Jones for himselfe his heirs executors & administrators & evry of them the said parcell of land called Beaver Dams with the appurtenances before by these presents bargained & sold unto him the said Adam Hitch doe forever freely acquitt & discharge the same of and from all manner of former & other bargains grants sales forfeitures joynters dowries surrenders and of and from all manner claimes titles and demand & whatsoever heretofore had made done or procured by the said William Jones and that the said William Jones is and standeth seized of the afores bargaines land and promifses with theire appurtenances untill now of a sure good & indeafeazable estate of inheritance in fee simple and that he hath full power of and right at ye lawfull authoritie grant bargains & sell these one to him the said Adam Hitch his heirs & asfigns forever against all persons whatsoever claiming by from or under him the said William Jones his heirs executors or admn In confirmation & full afsurance of the truth above written the said William Jones have to this present Indenture set to his hand and seale giving deed and state with full & peaceable possession by livery of seizin of and in the above mentioned premifses called Beaver Dams In testimony where of the said William Jones hath put to his hand & seale the day & year first above exepressed

Memorandum that this day rigt : the xiiith day of March in the xiiith yeare of the Dominion of the Rt honrble Charles & over maryland Anno of Dom 1687 before us Capt John Winder & Mr. Wm Brereton two of his Lords Justices of the peace for the County of Somerset came William Jones party to the within written Indenture in his proper person and did acknowledge the said land called Beaver Dams in the said within written Indenture mentioned to be the right of him the within named Adam Hitch as he the said Adam hath of the guift of him the said William Jones and the said William Jones for himselfe and his heirs hath remised and made quitt claime there of unto ye said Adam his heirs forever and further the said William and his heirs that the land within mentioned unto him the said Adam against him the said William and his heirs he will warrant forever as well also the said William and his heirs doe as freely and absolutely give grant sell make over & afsure the aforesaid three hundred acres of land called Beaver Dams to the within named Adam Hitch and to his heirs forever and for this acknowledgement quitt claims & agreement the said William hath right of the said Adam full satisfaceon for the same
