HAVER

Robert Haver Wed, 20 Oct 1999 15:44:29 -0500 Hi, my name is Robert Haver, and I'm trying to find the name of my = Great, Great Grandparents,as well as, which port they immigrated in. I = have reason to believe they arrived at one of the Maryland immigration = ports between 1832. Following is what I've been told, or have found = documented. My Great Grandfather, was born on the Atlantic Ocean coming = to America on August 6, 1832. The family had 4 children born in = Maryland. Their names are Adam Haver, George Haver, Catherine Haver, = and Elizabeth Camelia Haver. Sometime in the late 1840's Michael, Adam, = George, Catherine, and Elizabeth Haver migrated to=20 Vicksburg, Mississippi. On the 1860 Census, Michael stated that his mother and father were = French, however, the 4 other children stated that their father and = mother were German. It's my understanding that there's some turf = located on the French/German border that changed hands between the two = countries several times. Would appreciate any information as to whom I might be able to contact. Thanking you in advance. Sincerely, Robert F. Haver Duncanville, Texas (Dallas Surburb)

LEISTER MYERS DRACH

Susan Ludwick Fri, 1 Oct 1999 17:35:43 EDT Here is a query----LEISTER MYERS DRACH Henry Myers who had a farm 7 miles south of Westminster married first Catherine Sell. This was c. l775. They had chilren: Catherine, Hannah, Eve, Elizabeth , Esther, and Mary. Around l794 a son John was born. Some family historians say that Catherine Sell died (time unknown) and that Henry married Catherine Leister/Lyster. It is questioned as to whether Catherine Sell Myers or Catherine Leister Myers was the mother of John. John's father, Henry Myers, died by drowning on his farm in l976. John's guardian was John Lyster until he reached his majority. After 1805 Catherine was remarried to an Adam Drach. They are both buried at Winters Church. Catherine died in 1834 and she was 69 years old. Would like to hear from members of the Lyster or Drach family. Susan Ludwick
