DODRER DOTTERER FISHER GRAY HUFF HOFF TROSTLE WIRTZ
Judy W Tue, 27 Jul 1999 16:47:00 -0700 I have listed queries before, but I have gained some new info. The surnames I am researching are DODRER(DOTTERER)/FISHER/GRAY/HUFF(HOFF)/TROSTLE/WIRTZ I would like to hear from anyone who has a connection to any of these surnames. My lines where mostly from Carroll Co.Md and Adams Co Pa.They were German Lutheran families for the most part. In Carroll Co they belonged to St.Mary's in Silver run. In Adams Co. they belonged to St.John's in Littlestown. Please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] My ancesters Gershom Bryan & Matilda Huff belonged to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church from at least 1849-1859.I know because they baptized their first four children there. I recieved a letter from that church with the childrens birth and baptism dates. they went on to have two more children in 1860 & 1863 who were not baptized at that church. They lived in Westminster during this whole time (I think). Can you give me any idea as to what other Lutheran Church around Westminster they may have belonged to? The original Church records for St. John's were transcribed from German. So I would probably need to look for a Lutheran church with a German background. Any help would be great, Judy W [email protected]

Brenda Thu, 15 Jul 1999 23:13:34 EDT Hi I am trying to locate information regarding the family of ALLIE BELLE HUFF, who married FRANK HARRISON HOLLINGER in PA/MD. They actually lived in Silver Run, MD at one time, then moved to Littlestown, PA. Her siblings were: JOHN, HENRY, DAVID, LUCY, CHRISTINE. (HUFF) Her father may have been Henry Huff???? Would appreciate any help at all!!! Thanks. Its me from Alabama again, I do know that Joseph Raymond EDMONDSON is buried at the Gamber Emmanual Baptist Church, in Gamber and that it is most likely that his parents are buried there to. I also found out that the mill that Joseph's parents ran was a flour mill I hope someone remembers getting flour from the Edmondsons on Kleesmill road in Gamber. Thank you, please help if you can! Brenda

TIMOTHY EDMONDSO Fri, 9 Jul 1999 08:18:02 -0400 Hello, I have began a search of my husbands family tree. We live in Alabama, and it is a little difficult researching from so far away. My husbands grandfathers name was Joseph Raymond EDMONDSON born 1893 died 1981 He was married to sisters, Ella mae CLEAMONS and then Annie Catherine Cleamons they were from Randallstown. But Joseph was from Gamber, His parents ran a mill on Kleesmill Road in Gamber, at least up until the late 1930's and into the 1940's. He is buried at the Gamber Emmanuel Baptist church, Carroll county MD. I know that his father had a flour mill, on Kleesmill Rd., in Gamber. but noone can tell me his name. I also know that he came to MD when he was 12 years old from Germany. Can anyone help me????. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Who were the parents of Joseph Raymond Edmondson on Kleesmill road in Gamber. Thank you , Denise Edmondson E-mail me at [email protected]
