• Biography, 1989. 2 Wife, Mary, who on Sept. 1734 presented an inventory of his estate. She died at Portsmouth; and in her will dated 6, 7 mo. 1739 and proved 12 Nov. 1739, she calls herself widow of Benjamin Wait, deceased, and mentions her daughters, Amie, Sarah, Deborah and Elizabeth, leaving to Amie a platter marked "M P," which probably furnishes a clue to her maiden name. She also mentions her brother-in-law John Earle.
Mary married Benjamin WAITE [13028] [MRIN: 4631], son of Thomas WAITE [3973] and Sarah COOK [3974]. (Benjamin WAITE [13028] was born about 1683 in Portsmouth, Providence County, Rhode Island, United States 2 and died on 4 Aug 1734 in Portsmouth, Providence County, Rhode Island, United States 2.) |
