Inga Caroline Karlson Born 11/24/1883. Died 9/10/1983 in Bay Saint Louis, MS, two months before her 100th birthday. Married Jesse August Cowand in 1904. They had ten children.

Norman Karlson Born 6/12/1852 in Norway. Died 7/30/1919 in Portland, OR, where he had gone with his son Elliott. Married to Ellen Metzner. Norman came to Michigan from Norway when he was 17 years old. They moved from Michigan to Mississippi for the health of Inga's mother Ellen. However, she contracted malaria and died. He could no longer care for his three young children. He placed Guida with the Wilcox family in New Orleans and Inga with Charles and Helena Cowand who were thrilled to have Inga as they had only one child, Jessie August Cowand; and in 1904, Jesse and Inga were married.
