I have finally organized this page a bit, due to the prodding of Cousin Don Bova. But it is still very much a work in progress. You will find links below to several non-existent pages. I am listing here the links which actually work at this time: McCan, Viser, Reding, and Barrett. The link for Barrett will take you to the website of Janet Barrett Walker, who has an extensive site on the descendants of our ancestor, Reuben Barrett.

Beneath the family names are links to memoir stories written by various friends and relatives. These links also work.

First are links to my histories of two military units:

Company B, 24th Regiment Texas Cavalry

The site includes biographies of all 130 men who served under Captain Samuel D. Wooldridge, who was the brother-in-law of our great-grandfather James Marion McCan.

Company I, 9th Regiment (Nichols') Texas Infantry

I have compiled a biography of the captain of the 9th (Nichols'), Robert F. Oliver.

I have also written a biography of Robert S. Poole, M. D., Captain of Company A, 24th Regiment Texas Cavalry.

Please be patient, and little by little, I hope, I will add more pages.
