February 19, 2004 - Due to a lack of persons to help I had to do the ground work on my own with only a bit of help so it has taken longer to get to this point than we wanted.   Realizing that my work demands so much time that I don't have enough time to devote to the Clan to make it work properly I consulted with the few people that were available and it was decided that our first Chieftain before formal elections will be Craig McCanless of North Carolina.  He has the time to devote and the ability to get the job done.  In case you didn't know he is one of our best researchers and much of what I have in my information is what he gave me.  He also has collected much from a few others but recently he has gone over the census files with a fine tooth comb to get the information to add to his already great files.  I know we can count on him to be the leader we can support and rely on.

October 1, 2002 -  We have opened the door to suggestions and registrations.  A preliminary period of organization will last about a year until a cadre of active members exists and elections can be held.

During this period, five or more "officers" will serve on a board to guide the organization process by adopting a set of bylaws and the necessary documents to get the clan on its feet until the elections.  At the point of the elections new officers will be able to change the bylaws with the approval of the membership in the next election following.
