These photos are all descendants of John Kelton McCanless (b 1805, d 1869)
& Mary Caroline Haupe.

This is a picture of the children of John Kelton McCanless taken circa 1892 while they were in mourning for their Mother, Mary Caroline Haupe.  Those pictured are, from left to right standing:  Almedia Gibbs, John D. McCanless, Emma Catherine Perry, William Franklin McCanless, and Louise Lakey.  Those seated are, from left to right:  James Malmoth (spelled variously) McCanless, Samuel Alonzo McCanless, Dr. Amos Levi McCanless, Amanda McCanless, David Mills McCanless and George Washington McCanless.

Victoria Clingman says, "Here's Clyde from 1957  (son of Samuel Alonzo, grandson of James Kelton) sitting on his lap is my brother, Marlin, and myself. This was taken at Christmas, 1957."  (Ron's note-Victoria and I have marveled at the resemblence of her Grandfather, Clyde and my father and his brothers, notice the chin and the mouth. and compare that to Jesse Ray McCandless.
