DISTRESSING DEATH
On Tuesday morning, December 26, Mr. William Calvert, residing at the mouth of Slaughter's Creek, in this county, went to the well, just before daybreak to draw a bucket of water. Being absent for about half an hour his wife went out to look for him. He was found in the well, having fallen in head foremost. It would be impossible to imagine the feelings of the wife upon the sad fate of her bosom companion.
