The Baptist Banner
Wednesday, August 3, 1892
Mrs. Nancy Stone was born May 24, 1858, married to Mr. G. W. Stone, April 26th, 1882, and died July 25th, 1892 aged thirty four years.
The deceased was the daughter of Wm. S. and Sarah A. Wintz. She was a member of the Baptist Church, and was respected by all the church of which she was a member, as well as by all who were acquainted with her. She has left four children (three daughters and one son). She died very happy in the Lord.
The funeral services occured on July 26, 1892 and were conducted by the writer at the residence of the parents of Sister Stone, at Joppling, Kanawha county. A large and respectful congregation attested the love and esteem in which she was held.
