The Kanawha Republican
July 2, 1844
Died at his residence, Falls of Kanawha in Fayette County, on the 20th of June, Jas. B. Trimble, in the 42nd year of his age, leaving a widowed wife, 6 children, and numerous relatives to mourn their irreparable loss.
The deceased was a kind, affectionate husband, and an indulgent father. Mr. T. was brought to a sudden and unexpected death by a severe blow received from a horse, on Tuesday and survived until Thursday morning, when the cold hand of death was laid upon him. This is but another evidence of the great importance of preparing for eternity, for in the midst of life we are in death.
