The Lewisburg Chronicle
September 6, 1849

Died at his residence in Kanawha Salines, on Thursday morning on the 23rd inst., after an illness of a few hours only, Mr. Levi Welch Esq., in the 65th year of his age.

Wednesday, October 12, 1892

The friends of Mrs. Julia Fry will be pained to hear of her death which occurred at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon after a long period of suffering. She was formerly a Miss Welch and besides leaving a husband and ywo sons, she leaves a large circle of other relatives and friends to mourn her death. She was the mother of City Recorder Fry. The funeral will take place at the house, No. 139 Brooks street. Interment in the Spring Hill cemetery.
