November 22, 1888
Mrs. Fannie S. Cole, wife of John L. Cole, died at the residence of her father, Honorable John Slack Sr., on the 14th inst. She had been suffering several months with lung trouble resulting from an aggravated case of catorah and her death was not unexpacted. She was in her fiftieth (sic) year and leaves a husband and one son, together with numerous relatives to mourn their loss. Funeral services were held at the residence. The remains were laid to rest in the family burying groung in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
