Wednesday, May 23, 1877
Dr. Albert G. McChesney died at the residence of his son-in-law, Rev. A. H. Hamilton, in Rockbridge county, Virginia at 10 o'clock last Saturday night. Only a few weeks ago he left here to seek medical help in Baltimore, but not finding relief, he returned as far as his daughter's home, where he has been lingering until released by death. His affliction was Brighy's disease of the kidneys. He was born August 31, 1829, was a sucessful physician, and a good citizen, and will be deeply mourned by all who knew him. His family went to attend his funeral leaving here on Sunday, Mrs. McChesney bring with him when he died.
