Wednesday, October 12, 1892
The funeral of Mrs. Fannie C. Quarrier will take place at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at St. John's Episcopal Church. Her death Thursday night was a sad and sudden one. About three weeks ago she struck her hand upon the point of a pair of scissors, which at the time was very painful and was soon followed by blood poisoning. She was a daughter of Thomas Friend, of this county and was known throughout the city, especially among the older residents. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Joel S. Quarrier, her son Shrewsbury, and daughters Mrs. Pidgie Shrewsbury, Mrs. Nannie Naret and Mrs. Josie Q. Sterrett besides very many relatives and friends here and elsewhere. (Edited)
