Warren Baldwin

My Baldwin ancestors were from North Carolina and Florida. Warren Baldwin was in Bladen County, North Carolina by 1734. He received several land grants, and his name appears on several petitions found in North Carolina's colonial records. His descendents settled in Columbus County, North Carolina. In the 1840's, James Baldwin moved his family to Florida. He first settled in Duval County, near present-day Camp Blanding (now in Clay County). He later moved his family a few miles south to Melrose, in Putnam County.  The Baldwins have been recognized as a pioneer family of the North Central area.

Information about Warren Baldwin and his descendents are in the genealogy report.  Future plans include census records of Columbus County, NC and Duval, Clay, and Putnam Counties Florida as they relate to the Baldwin family. I also plan to include an index to vital records from North Carolina and Florida.
